You are correct. I heard I believe it was Newt, it may have been someone else, on Hannidity saying that Boehur had built a Republican majority in the House and and before long he will have a veto proof majority.

I wanted to call and tell him to enjoy it while he can because in 2017 the Democrats are going back in the majority.

This commonly-held belief is mostly an exaggeration that liberals began telling themselves to take the sting off their most recent ass-kicking. In fact, the 2016 Senate picture is nothing like a mirror image of 2012. The seats that the Republicans picked up were mostly in red states. The seats that liberals are counting on to be in play are mostly purple. The liberal predictions make questionable assumptions like Mary Landrieu returning to knock off Dick Burr in Louisiana, and Harry Reid defying the odds again in Nevada.

If the Republicans nominate a strong presidential candidate in 2016, it is entirely likely that they will increase their gains in the Senate.
