Based on House Republican documents reviewed by Breitbart News, pro-amnesty Republican freshman Rep. Carlos Curbelo of Florida will be delivering the Republicans Spanish-language address in response to Obamas State of the Union speech.
Curbelo recently made waves with a January 18 interview in The Hill, which focused on his strong dissent from the basic Republican position on immigration and all but stated his support for Obamas executive amnesty....
The Florida Republican is a vocal supporter of actions on immigration reform that many in the GOP have rejected, including a Senate-passed bill that House Republican leaders have refused to bring up for a vote.
Curbelo also says his fellow House Republicans were wrong this summer to try to end protections for illegal immigrants brought to the United States children, putting them at risk for deportation. Now, as President Obama prepares to act unilaterally to relax policies for as many as 5 million illegal immigrants, Curbelo is again at odds with the majority of his party.
Boehner may be talking a good game in regards to fighting the White House on immigration, but its difficult to square that with his choice of Curbelo to deliver this particular address. If anything, its more likely to be viewed as a nod to Hispanics that the GOP isnt as serious as they sound in terms of opposing Obama on an issue viewed as critical by many Americans.
Boehner has vowed to fight Obamas executive action tooth and nail, and some conservatives have even floated impeachment.
Curbelos response has been more measured: The president shouldnt act alone. But if he does, it might not be illegal.
Curbelo was also one of 26 Republicans to break ranks on the recent vote for the Blackburn Amendment to defund Obamas executive amnesty.

Still batting 1,000 after all these weeks....
his support for Obamas executive amnesty....

did the Republicans who voted for him know this ???
Wow. The gratitude of the Cubans for being let in and helped is overwhelming.
They want to flush our language down the toilet, destroy our laws, aid and abet invasion, and help change the country into the kind of decrepit, failed thugocracy that dominates all of Latin America.
Let’s see..just yesterday the State Prosecutor who was going to bring charges against the Peronist b***h is found dead in his apartment with a throw down next to him.
No big deal, just business as usual in CorruptLand.
And this will be our country’s fate if El Cubano gets his way.
Blood’s thicker than the mud...it’s a family affair
You’re not exaggerating about the lack of gratitude. I first became aware of this in the 1980s.
I recall in the early 60’s when they were being brought in.
We all thought That’s Wonderful! People escaping Communism!
But it was assumed that when Castro was gone - hopefully by force - they would go back and reclaim their country.
It may not be entirely their fault that that didn’t happen. But it could have under Reagan and certainly under Bush II; by then the Soviets were gone and the Russians couldn’t have cared less, they had their own problems.
But they got comfy here. So let’s just recreate Cooba in ME-Ami! Easier then dumping the Cuban Army on their own soil...
Oh, and, let’s amnesty all our paisanos from Mexico so we have an ethnic base to seize more power.
Maybe there was never a good choice in Cuba: either corrupt Bautista guys or Castro Commies.
I had a couple of Cuban exile brothers in my jr high classes back then, just outside Wash DC. Both were smart and musically gifted.
In the early 80s I was taking an evening class at a local junior college. I got to know a young Cuban gal there. She and her brothers were setting up a janitorial service that was going to hire latino illegal aliens instead of south central LA blacks. It wasn’t long before LA’s blacks were squeezed out of an occupation that they had dominated for decades. The same thing happened to them in the drywall industry at about the same time.
Yup. They couldn’t stoop too low or miss an opportunity to take advantage of someone.
We would have far better race relations if the illegals had not destroyed that niche for both black and white working class people. How many Fergusons might not have happened?
About the only Cuban descended politician not going down this road is Cruz. So he’s either the Real Thing or just the slickest artful dodger in the gang.
And we're they told to hold their nose and vote since getting the majority was priority 1 and dealing with RINO squishes would come after that?
Curbelo supports dictatorship
True that. And ethnic solidarity as well.
I saw recent Asian immigrants in SoCal do much the same thing. They would set up little manufacturing shops and staff them with illegals. Usually latino illegals but sometimes Asians. I once ran across an integrated circuit outfit staffed entirely with illegals from India.
Illegals flood into SoCal from all over the globe. Enticed by the no borders crowd in both parties. The Bush brothers and Obama being flip sides of the same treason lobby coin.
Must every Latino member of Congress be for letting illegals stay? The only Latino member of Congress who appears to oppose Amnesty is Ted Cruz.
HEY, LATINO ACTIVISTS, MUST YOU ALWAYS PUT YOUR RACE ABOVE OUR NATIONAL SECURITY???
Utter betrayal. Like giving a speech in German during WWII
