He either learned the hard way that Wild Turkey and the treadmill don’t mix or he got a visit from somebody. Its hard to picture those kinds of injuries from a simple sober trip off the treadmill.

‘Its hard to picture those kinds of injuries from a simple sober trip off the treadmill.’

Agree. But if someone forgets to turn them off, those treadmills pack a wicked punch:

I don’t think it was a treadmill. I read earlier that it was some kind of elastic resistance band that broke. I still don’t get how that would send him flying into a bookcase.

I’m going to go with the guess that he got a visit from somebody. The Nevada mob, maybe?

When my daughter was little she got on a treadmill at the YMCA (after I told her not to) and within a few seconds had turned it on and was pushed against the wall with her chin and neck still on the treadmill. I rushed over and got her off quickly, but it still scraped her up pretty bad.

The school asked her what happened, then called me in to ask what happened. After I told them, they said we had the same story but it was a freaky accident. I agreed.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2015/01/09/harry-reid-describes-exercise-injuries-doesnt-rule-out-losing-sight-in-his-right-eye/

“Three days a week I have an exercise routine. I do 250 situps, I some yoga-type stuff for a little while and then I’ve been using for the last three or [so] plus years, these bands. I use one that’s the second-strongest you can get, it’s dark grey. Anyway, I do those things hundreds of times three days a week. I do different routines. And I was doing almost finished at my new home in Nevada and the band broke and it catapulted me backwards and to one side. I crashed into a series of cabinets we have and fortunately it missed my temple by just a little tiny bit and it hit me in my right eye and it broke a number of bones around my right eye and broke four ribs and a few bruises other places.”

I was thinking maybe he ticked off Hillary. She can do some damage when she's not falling down herself.
