The problem with these Republican SOTU "responses" is that they have been filtered down and revised so many times by party apparatchiks before air time, and are so cautious and non-hostile, that they are nothing more than watery, feel-good, "let's all work together" platitudes. They never confront Obama and point out the damage that he and his policies have done to the nation, and thus come across as complete milquetoast. The Republicans would be better off with NO response than the ones they have done for years.

Joni Ernst, like about 99.9% of Republicans did not fail to underwhelm her audience last night. Both of them.
Joni Ernst(and YES I voted for her) was CARFULLY “Chosen” by the RINO/GOP-e(which means MOST OF THEM) “wing(establishment(”Gov” Branstad and his ILK))” of the Iowa “GOP” for her RINO “qualities” and last night she didn’t disappoint. Clovis(the REAL Republican) would have been MUCH better!
Instead of red meat we got baloney! Ernst campaigned like a bulldog but looks like a RINO now.
