With only weeks gone but years left in California's Senate race, national Democrats appear eager to anoint state Attorney General Kamala Harris as the 2016 successor to Sen. Barbara Boxer's seat. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee weighed in lauding Harris' candidacy after she announced her decision last week, and high-profile sitting senators including Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Cory Booker also feted the new front-runner.

But outside the Beltway, another group of Democratic power players and donors is coalescing behind the goal of electing California's first Latino senator, and they already have their candidate in mind: former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Villaraigosa will bring the same level of intellectual firepower as Boxer.

Yes, and the day is coming that the dems will reap what they sow in their push to grant amnesty and open the borders. All of the White and Black politians in the states with high Latino populations will be pushed out by Latino candidates and they will be governed by the Latino Caucus

What a joke. I bet if the “one of their own” was Ted Cruz, or even Susana Martinez, the National Journal wouldn’t be writing a puff piece like this. In fact, the story would be about how disappointed liberal Latino activists were that Cruz or Martinez weren’t acting like “one of their own.”

I was born and raised here and can say based upon personal experience California is in the hands of crazies and is rapidly becoming a Third World disaster. Our once great universities are now a becoming a joke; our once fertile farms are becoming a desert; lunatics control the three branches thus favoring criminals and perverts. Soon the Mexican flag shall be hoisted over our once American owned buildings. Spanish shall be declared the official state language. It is a mess with bankruptcy coming ever closer.
