Muslims are facing increased threats in the United States after the release of the movie "American Sniper," an American-Arab organization said in letters to director Clint Eastwood and star Bradley Cooper.
In the open letters released earlier this week, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) said there has been a spike in violent threats against Muslims due to the film that portrays the story of an American sniper during the Iraq war.
"A majority of the violent threats we have seen over the past few days are (a) result of how Arab and Muslims are depicted in American Sniper," the ADC said.
The group said it had received hundreds of violent messages from viewers of the film, many of them through social media.
The ADC notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and local police about the threats and asked the two Hollywood stars to condemn the violent rhetoric used by filmgoers.
"Your visibility, influence, and connection to the film would be a tremendous force in drawing attention to and lessening the serious dangers facing the respective communities," the letters signed by ADC president Samer Khalaf said.
The movie released this month is based on the true story of an American solider Chris Kyle deployed in Iraq.
The film has earned six Oscar nominations and sparked a debate in the US over the occupation of Iraq and the depiction of veterans in popular culture.

I fear this story is pure bunk. If it were only true. The Muslim horde needs to be stopped from entering America. The existing Muslim horde needs to be deported back to the sands and their 7th century ways. This is imperative to America to remain America.

I am on the way to see the movie RIGHT NOW. No kidding. I don't go to the movies. But if success pisses off liberals, I am going to take 4 others with me (the inlaws). I report back about the use of the word Muslim.
As part of the multcultural assimilation program, muslims need to go see the movie. This will allow them to get in better touch with their own feelings and their inner child, they will be more tolerant and accepting of the people they find around them, and to better understand the country, people, and culture of the country they are living in. And if they won’t go, ship their butts outta here!!

I really think the Arab ADC is most upset with Clint playing the video of the jetliners crashing into the Twin Towers. That scene has been rarely shown in movies and is never played on Network TV,
ADC forgets that Chris Kyle was an equal opportunity disposer of human debris. In 2009, He shot dead two, not muslim, punks who tried to car-jack his truck at a service station. The fellows had their guns on him, but somehow both ended up with two .45 cal slugs in their chests from Chris’s 911.

Confirmed! I saw the movie on Sunday. They refer to the badguys as terrorists, savages and evil. But there was no mention of "Muslim" in the movie.
