Fiorina should stay in CA and take another shot at Boxer’s Senate seat. I can’t figure out what the incentive is for losers like her and Santorum to get in the Presidential sweepstakes. There has to be some kind of financial reward.

In Fiorina's case, ego.

We got a good look at her while running HP.

her incentive is to be the token woman, garner female support, and then at some point throw that support to another candidate guaranteeing secretary of state

or something like that

Fiorina doesn’t live in CA any more. She’s in VA.

Ego in both cases. Nobody runs for the presidency without an outsized ego. If Fiorina or Carson honestly believes they can win then their ego is in overdrive.

I heard some of the speeches and Scott Walker's was great. Christie was good too..he might not be a conservative to some FReepers, but he is good.

Remember, conservatives can be non reglious. We are...we believe in GOD, but we like to relax on the weekends.

I’m not going to vote for either one. It’s Cruz or lose.

Carly talks a good talk but those HP employees who have worked for her will tell you she is ALL talk, no action.

How is it that if Scott Walker had lost his reelection, he would have been finished, but Carly Fiorina, who DID lose a senate race in 2010 (and has never won anything else) is considered a good prospect??

Walker has won three elections in four years (in a “democrat” state).

Carly excels only at ruining things. Somebody should tell her that Bambi has already ruined the country so there would be nothing left for her to do if elected.

Not entirely:

It’s very possible she was just saying what the crowd wanted to hear, but apparently she did do it well!

Just as Ted Cruz explained to the audience, they will all claim to be more conservative than their fruits show.....

Exactly my thoughts as I watched at least parts of each of the speeches. The time for speeches is long past.

President would be a demotion for Christie. He thinks he knows more than God. According to Christie, homosexuality is not a sin. Perhaps he thinks the ‘ie’ was accidentally added to his name.

Some candidates just want to raise their profile. They know they don’t stand a chance but want to promote a book or get more TV appearances.

Yep...I wish there was an “edit” option after I catch typos/grammar mistakes after I submit.
