Toward a Future Less Marred by Gun Violence

Last week, President Obama omitted mention of gun control in a State of the Union address for the first time since 2012. Politically, that decision might make sense. In the past year, the United States suffered fewer widely-covered massacres involving firearms, and politicians may have been less inclined to pursue gun control for this reason. The recent shooting at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and the recent increase in Boston's gun homicide rate the homicide rate, however, highlight the fact that restricting access to firearms remains a significant public safety issue both locally and nationwide

The lyin' king omitted it because he's already said he'll be working the "back door method" by using the newly approved u.n. anti gun garbage. Additionally, this comes out of Hahvhad and we've already seen what we get out of Hahvahd. Lots of money spent to come out the other end a total IPOS.

This anti-American reprobate has three reasons to pursue gun control: (a) attack the Constitution (in general), (b) disarm the law-abiding American public to take power away from them, (c) leftist Democrat politics.

Thank You Congress.

Just because the muslim in chief didn’t mention gun control does not mean he isn’t planning, lying, sneaking around and/or working on implementing guns and ammunition here in the U.S. Never trust him, NEVER, EVER!

If you removed the crime stats of the ten highest crime cities (all DemocRat controlled), the US would rank much lower in violent crimes among the nations.

Articles like this are just another piece of evidence that an Ivy League education is a disqualifier for any presidential candidate.

Liberals and Progressives support gun control only as long as they remain in control. They will gladly exploit a few deaths in order to achieve enslavement of the general populace. Throughout history our generally unrestricted ownership of guns has served to prevent invasions and keep our government in check. Take guns away and the odds of our becoming a “Banana Republic” greatly increase, not to mention that gang rule will prevail.

“False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that it has no remedy for evils, except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are of such a nature. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
Cesare Beccaria On Crimes and Punishments (87-88)

If O’bastard gets that TPP trade deal authority you can expect him to slip gun control in there somewhere.

Once congress grants him the power to make those deals he can stuff anything he wants in it!

A hugely significant time span.

For the last 40 or 50 years (maybe longer), Massachusetts has had some of the most restrictive gun laws in the United states of America. And, while they have maintained their strict gun laws, many other states have eased restrictions on the keeping and bearing of arms.

This widespread easing of gun laws has been paralleled by a reduction in homicide rates throughout most of the country.

Now, we all know that correlation does not equal causation, but if the homicide rate in Boston, Massachusetts, is not falling as it is in other parts of the country, then intelligent people would ask themselves some hard questions about the efficacy of their existing beliefs, instead of simply jerking their knees in the direction of ever more restrictive gun laws.

Even with those stats included, the U.S., which ranks #1 in gun ownership, is still only #111 out of #211.
