That is why my wife and I found, through a number of means, ways to make our wedding not cost a whole lot, we simply didn’t feel like making marriage start with a debt burden, and if you have to make it really cheap, it can be done. It only cost my wife and I about $5K for our getting married, and perhaps a little extra for the honeymoon. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was fair enough to enjoy.
That is what it cost us. We had a great wedding, got to see all of our guests, and spent a great honeymoon in Maine.
But there were a few saying “how cheap” I was.
