I was in love once with a woman who was sexually abused as a child. She didn't go out and sexually abuse kids. What she did do was go to school and got a degree in sociology and became a counselor specializing in treating victims of child sexual abuse.

Not everyone who is abused becomes a pedophile - I didn’t mean that.

But many pedophiles were themselves, abused as children. And men are much more likely to become pedophiles than women.
