LATHRUP VILLAGE According to the Michigan Attorney Generals Office, the state has suspended the license of a local clinic where abortions are performed after authorities discovered several health code violations.
On Nov. 21, Womens Center of Southfield, located at 28505 Southfield Road in Lathrup Village, had its surgical outpatient facility license suspended for violating seven health codes, according to state officials.
According to a document sent to the facility by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the center failed to maintain a sterile facility and inform a patient of risks, consent or complications of a procedure. Workers allegedly were performing charting improperly, and did not have adequate supplies and tools, among other things.
The document stated that Dr. Jacob Kalo who is a board-certified OB/GYN and owns the facility, according to the centers website and Dr. Reginald Sharpe were present during the inspection.

“Another abortuary down.”
Pro lifers will keep an eye on that too. Just because they lost their license does not mean they will close. This is the abortion industry after all.
abortuary!!!
Wonderful term.. WONDERFUL!!
“Protesters filed a complaint with the DEQ after reportedly finding patient records, aborted fetuses and medical waste in the trash bins outside the facility.”
It’s all about money. It cost them money to dispose of the aborted fetuses and medical waste so instead they just throw everything in the trash.
According to the article, this “clinic” also provides oncology services. Probably means PAP smears. What a hoot.
