Obama And Islam’s Non-Existent Golden Rule
The Counter Jihad Report ^ | 02/06/2015 | Hugh Fitzgerald

Barack Obama ended his talk at the National Prayer Breakfast with a quote from the Hadtih (Sahih Muslim):
“And, finally, let’s remember that if there is one law that we can all be most certain of that seems to bind people of all faiths, and people who are still finding their way towards faith but have a sense of ethics and morality in them — that one law, that Golden Rule that we should treat one another as we wish to be treated. The Torah says “Love thy neighbor as yourself.” In Islam, there is a Hadith that states: “None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” The Holy Bible tells us to “put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” Put on love….”

Quoting this Hadtih — incidentally, this is the first time that Obama has publicly used that word — from the Sahih Muslim is like quoting Quran 5.32 without its modifier 5.33, that vitiates the original verse lifted from the Mishnah, or 2.256 (“There is no compulsion in religion”) without understanding what that verse means, for clearly the three possibilities open to non-Muslims under Muslim rule — death, conversion, or life as a dhimmi, with a host of economic, political, and social disabilities that for many proved unendurable.

. . . . .

The problem with the good teachings of Muhammad is that they are reserved for fellow Muslims. When the hadith says “None of you [truly] believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself,.” it is talking about the fellow Muslims. The brotherhood in Islam does not extend to everyone.

There is a lot of good info in this article. Some comes from a man who was raised in Islam and left it.

Islam is a demonic religion.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 73, Number 224 :

Allah’s Apostle said, “The most awful name in Allah’s sight on the Day of Resurrection, will be (that of) a man calling himself Malik Al-Amlak (the king of kings).”

In Islam, there is a Hadith that states: “None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”

Easy Clintonian parse: "brother" means fellow Muslim.

ONLY.

‘Allah’s Apostle said, “The most awful name in Allah’s sight on the Day of Resurrection, will be (that of) a man calling himself Malik Al-Amlak (the king of kings).”’

Words that could only come straight from the pit of hell, from a disciple of the devil himself (lord of the death cults), who knows he has but a short time to raise hell on earth.

I'm Christian. I have been studying the Koran and the Hadith for a long time.

Hadith: Collection of sayings and teachings of Mohammed that Muslims consider almost as divinely inspired as the Koran.

I'm sorry, but I can't help but be amused and surprised that Obama would quote the Hadith, because as a Christian, I find many of Mohammed's sayings very scary and threatening to Christianity.

For instance. look at the following Hadith. Crosses refers to Christianity and pigs refers to Jews.

0287 sahih Muslim

(Muslim and Bukhari collections are two of the most respected collections of Mohammed's sayings.)

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my life, the son of Mary (may peace be upon him) will soon descend among you as a just judge. He will break crosses, kill swine and abolish Jizya and the wealth will pour forth to such an extent that no one will accept it.

0289 sahih Muslim

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger or Allah (may peace be upon him) observed: I swear by Allah that the son of Mary will certainly descend as a just judge and he would definitely break the cross, and kill swine and abolish Jizya and would leave the young she-camel and no one would endeavour to (collect Zakat on it). Spite, mutual hatred and jealousy against one another will certainly disappear and when he summons people to accept wealth, not even one would do so.

656 Bukhari

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts).

My point is this: It is misleading for Obama to quote selective passages in the Hadith that make Islam look peaceful and friendly to Christians and Jews, but conveniently forget to mention any of the numerous Hadith passages that are threatening to Christians and Jews, like the passages quoted above.

Misleading the public about the true nature of Islam is the point. Most muslims know the history of Islam, but will contiunue to cast it in the light of love and peace. There is nothing done today in the name of Islam that was not done before and for hundreds of years ...

Hadith: Collection of sayings and teachings of Mohammed that Muslims consider almost as divinely inspired as the Koran.

From what I've read, the various sects within Islam are based on which Hadiths they consider reliable or not reliable.
