This has been a difficult few days for all of us at NBC News.
Yesterday, Brian and I spoke to the Nightly News team. And this morning at the Editorial Exchange, we both addressed the wider group. Brian apologized once again, and specifically expressed how sorry he is for the impact this has had on all of you and on this proud organization.

Another full time Obama apologist is forgiven, because he looks innocent on TV.
Why lie? It was so unnecessary.

It's been a difficult week. Blah blah blah blah. We're currently trying to figure out a way to make this go away. Blah blah blah blah. We don't want anyone looking at Brian's Katrina story. When we have confirmation that one of our health correspondents is ready to come out and declare that poor Brian has PTSD and that it caused him to misremember the events, we'll let you know. I don’t really understand why NBC cares that they have been caught lying their ass off.
I guess they believe they have a credible reputation.

The lying liar lied and then lied about how sorry he was the he lied, though he WAS being truthful when he said he was sorry he got caught lying.

They really circle the wagons for one of their own. It’s more than I can say for the GOP when one of their conservatives is under attack by the left. Then the tall grass is filled with cowering Republicans establishment types.
NBC is just worried if they fire Lyin’ Brian, it will reflect badly on Kankles’ own phony story about the snipers. Must not let anything get in the way of Kankles ascension to the throne.
