Shots were fired at Monroeville Mall tonight; witnesses said at least one person and as many as three were wounded, that a potential suspect had been taken into custody and that the mall was being evacuated, store by store.
One witness said the shooting occurred either at a children’s play area outside Macy’s or inside the store and that at least one wounded person was found inside Macy’s. There were other reports that two other people were wounded and that gunfire was exchanged.
According to one witness, a male was apprehended in connection with the shooting near the Champ’s sporting goods store in the mall. The man had an earlier encounter with security officers, the witness said.

What, it's not enough that someone who commits a crime in front of dozens of witnesses is a "suspect"? Now we have a "potential suspect"? Might as well say, "Some random guy was taken into custody. We have no idea why ...".

Monroeville used to be a really nice suburb. I grew up in S.Oakland...before my got sick, she dragged my dad to open houses in PennHills and Monroeville. They were “nice.” What happened (bus line from Wilkinsburg etc). A damn shame.
