Obama’s Crusades - How did that line end up in his speech?

"....Something I have asked myself: Does he really believe what he says, or is it all just for political effect, to send conservatives into a tizzy, eat up the airwaves, and keep us off-balance? He must have known how ridiculous, how unintelligent, and how offensive his comments were going to sound, correct? There’s a pause after he delivers the Crusades remark, you can see it below, and I just wonder, did he know that this was a stupid thing to say?

I hope so, I really do. Maybe he was just caught up in the moment, already committed to the lines — that’s politics — but there’s a pause just slightly longer than usual in his delivery. Maybe he was simply waiting for the profundity of his remarks to sink in, but I want to think that in his head, he was saying, “Gosh, this is really dumb.” But, never having been called on the carpet since, oh, probably Columbia, he is so used to saying whatever comes into his head without any criticism or knock-down, that he just did it.

But that can’t be true, and this is the thing that really depresses me. Even if you haven’t worked in government, the one thing that everyone in Washington, D.C., knows is that no president speaks alone. Every word, every line of every speech goes through multiple, sometimes dozens of hands. From the junior speechwriter, to the head speechwriter, to the assistant to the chief of staff, to the chief of staff, maybe to someone on the National Security Council or the State Department (since this speech talked about foreign issues), there are eyes and eyes and eyes reading the drafts......"

Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth. - Sherlock Holmes.

"Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history, and unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the crusades and the inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow, all too often was justified in the name of Christ." - Obama 'Crusades' National Breakfast Speech | People Committed Terrible Deeds in the Name of Christ - Barack Obama

TREASON is the reason. He's no longer hiding it.

Obama is the most successful traitor mole in history, bar none. Imagine FDR as a secret Nazi supporter, sabotaging the allied war efforts. That is Obama.

Anyone who even references the Crusades regarding are the current Muslims justified is a Muslim apologist. One of the problems with their culture is that they are kings of holding a grudge. The fact that Obama thinks that is reasonable, or even makes the argument, demonstrates where he is coming from, intellectually. He’s exposing that he is, in fact, “one of them”.

If The Won were to refrain from making ridiculous, unintelligent, and offensive comments he would be speechless.

It's a standard Liberal talking point to justify muslim terrorism. They say we started the jihad (and deserve it) because of the Crusades.

They always forget the reason the Crusades started in the first place (i.e. as a defensive operation).

There can only be one person who put that in the speech and her initials are VJ. Of course Obama was more than happy to regurgitate it at the prayer breakfast.

Of course, his remarks were deliberate. Obama and his handlers hate Christians. Always have. I knew it when he was campaigning for his first term — that speech where he talked about the “bitter clingers.” That should have been a clue that part of his “fundamental transformation of America” was going to include the persecution of Christians and eventual removal of Christianity from this nation. Should have also known just by his name he was going to replace Christianity with Islam.

"....Something I have asked myself: Does he really believe what he says..."

No, I think he's intellectually extremely lazy and just reads whatever is on his Teleprompter. His depth of understanding of economics and history is about on par with the average affirmative action sophomore at the average liberal arts college.

The only thing that I am sure Obama believes in besides Communism is golf.

“How did that line end up in his speech?”

“O” populated his administration with people in no way qualified (just as HE is unqualified) to conduct their jobs.

Qualification and experience as properly understood for the entire history of US politics, are completely incidental to “O” and his crew.

Consequently, we already know there are NO fact checkers in the WH or on his staff.

Anything at all is likely to be heard in the speeches he makes and since he is incapable of speaking off the script without giving away his lack of experience and qualifications... you can expect much more of the same.

It's naive to expect anything different

The reason for this use of the Crusades IMO is fairly simple: just look at his up bringing. His entire formative years were in a foreign land or under the mentoring of a black communist.

His alleged education took place where: some lefty school in Oakland Ca and then allegedly Columbia.

There should be a sign in polling booths: No Birth Certificate, No grades, No established history....No run.

Bingo. A Muslim thru and thru. Any claim of Christianity is pure fakery to appease the masses.
He was giving us a Muslim history lesson.

So we know that the Muslims have infiltrated all levels of the government and military which is pretty good for such a small part of our population. Dose anyone know who they are and what positions they fill?

April 12 2008 Obama admonished small town residents who "cling to their Bibles and guns". There are plenty of sources, totally verifiable, that during that campaign Obama equated religion with guns.

One can only conclude that Obama opposes those with Christian values and associates that with violence....always has.

McCain's campaign was too busy doing whatever it takes to lose to take advantage of that prejudice from Obama.

Eggactly!
‘The chickens are coming home to roost!’ A few centuries later. But the hatred never dies, the 2004 train bombing in Spain was response to the 1492 beginning of the end of Moorish rule in Spain.
We should consider the President’s speeches as intentionally provoking the opposition. I imagine his speech writers, on the level of SNL, watching as they poke the bear for laughs.

He still thinks we need to be reminded of a bloody European past that happened 900 years ago, because that makes us, all of us small-l liberals, humble in the face of Islamist brutality.

Liberals are consumed with guilt and hatred for this nation. They do not see it as a shining beacon, but as a dark abyss. So any opportunity they have to take us down a peg or two, they'll gladly take.
