I would add that after the fall of Constantinople the Muslim Ottoman Turks invaded Europe and seized more Christian land, twice besieging Vienna. It took centuries to roll them back.

But our Provocateur in Chief went guilt trip, equating the Crusades with IS depredations. In so doing, he handed every Middle Eastern Islamo-fascist terrorist organization on the planet a propaganda weapon. Islamo-fascist terrorists have been using the Crusades as propaganda for quite a while now. 0bama was just using his bully pulpit to give it a boost.
