Gov. John Kitzhaber's Office Sought To Destroy Thousands of His Emails (Oregon)
Willamette Week ^ | 2/12/2015 | Nigel Jaquiss

Gov. John Kitzhaber’s office last week requested state officials destroy thousands of records in the governor’s personal email accounts, according to records obtained by WW and 101.9 KINK/FM News 101 KXL.

The request came as investigations into allegations of influence-peddling involving Kitzhaber and first lady Cylvia Hayes were intensifying.

Records show the request to destroy Kitzhaber’s emails came from Jan Murdock, Kitzhaber’s executive assistant. She wanted all emails from Kitzhaber’s personal email accounts removed from state servers.

Personal emails of public officials can be subject to the state’s open records laws if they are used to discuss public business. Earlier documents previously released by the governor’s office show Kitzhaber used both his personal and state email accounts to communicate with his aides and discuss state business.

The request from Kitzhaber’s office to destroy emails came one day before the Oregon Department of Justice opened a criminal investigation into the allegations against him and Hayes.

The records indicate that state employees refused to carry out the request from Kitzhaber's assistant to destroy emails.

We are so fortunate that these records have been saved from accidental destruction.

You can assume that any Democrat governor of Washington State (or Mayor of Seattle) and any Democrat governor of Oregon (or Mayor of Portland, Jihad-central for the Leftcoast), is any or all of the following:

* A crook
* A liar
* Crazy (I’ll throw in Gov. Moonbeam of California as personifying this trait)
* An egotistical asshole
* Damaged goods that cannot be repaired

Beautiful states led by Marxist-oriented dogmatists. This is not what the founders of those stated ever envisioned in the newly created America.

And I might mention that there are enough leftist wackjob voters out there to keep electing these type of Democrat cretins until the silent Americans reawaken (as they did for Reagan) and clean out the Democratic political outhouses of their respective states.

This could be it for Kitzhaber.

The left in Oregon loves cronyism and incompetence and conflict of interest if it's all in a good cause.

But obstruction of justice might be a bridge too far even for the dopey left.

Sounds as though OR is IL West. What a bunch of ignoramuses to re-elect a man with the terrible judgment this hen-pecked pansy has shown in not getting rid of the tramp he’s sleeping with.

Not only that, we’d see “REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR” in the headline.

I remember when the honorable Gov. Sarah Palin was set upon and they released her emails; they found NOTHING at all that they could be critical about.

Ya think? I'd bet in their upside down world, 'justice' is just obstructing the governor's agenda.

Like the Nazis with Hitler, these people are cultists.

Exactly. It’s amazing to live in this beautiful, benighted state of Oregon. Just when you think the scuzzy, egomaniacal factor can’t get any worse . . .
