One of these days you might figure out that Gruber was abso-phock-ingly correct....the American voter is, in general, ignorant and more interested in Muffy the Vampire Slayer than knowing anything - anything - about how this country is run, or what's going on three blocks away from their housing project.
I'm guessing the real number is LESS than 10 percent.

Obama had to go out of his way to make people notice the last shutdown. It cost more to “close” open air parks than to do nothing.
I expected Boehner to have folded by now. Pleasantly surprised by his last statement. The conservatives in the House are standing strong.
Mitch has already folded. Most of the GOP Senators want to give Obama money to pass out to Fraudulently Documented Foreigners. Sessions, Lee, Cruz, and a few more have been opposing all the Democrats and more than half their own party.
The American public is predetermined to blame the GOP for any ramifications of conflict between them and Obama. Americans reflexively want to give Obama a pass. We don’t have to like it, but that’s the dynamic the Repubs face. It’s still incumbent on them to act anyway.
the GOP has the majority in the House & Senate and that was after a shutdown where polling had people blaming the GOP for it.
I'm sure there will be some disappointments, but overall ... I think they'll grin and bear the accusation and continue to TRY to save America

Why doesn’t the GOP just spell out exactly why they are holding the purse strings instead of letting the Left fill in the blanks for them? Thats what the issue is. People need to know what ts really about.

But the department is deemed essential and thus it will not shut down. What the heck are they talking about. Only in the USA do I read about shut downs that are not shut downs and cuts which in realty are reductions in spending increases.
Notice that although Rs consistently got more blame than either Obama -which the media constantly trumpeted- yet they consistently got less blame than Obama and the Dems combined.
By the end 62% blamed either Obama or another Dem.

Back up a minute here. DHS will NOT shut down, as the majority of employees would be deemed as “essential”. But the press runs a poll that ignores that fact.
