L.A. Times Concedes ‘Serious Diseases’ Come from Mexico, Central America ("acts of love!")

During last summer’s border crisis, left-wing and mainstream media outlets mocked Americans who were concerned that illegal immigrants may be carrying disease like Tuberculosis.

But in a story downplaying the measles threat from Mexico and Central America, the Los Angeles Times concedes that, “beyond measles, however, there are some serious diseases that are brought to the United States from Mexico and Central America.”

Tuberculosis is chief among those diseases, according to the Times, which noted that “in 2013, 65% of the tuberculosis cases in the U.S. occurred among foreign-born people”:

A majority of those people came from five countries: Mexico (1,233 cases), the Philippines (776 cases), India (495 cases), Vietnam (454 cases) and China (377 cases).

Hepatitis A is another disease that has migrated northward. The Times noted that, according to the Office of Refugee Resettlement, “six cases of tuberculosis and 145 cases of chicken pox were reported” among illegal immigrant juveniles who would later be released into the United States.

In an interview last year with Breitbart News during the border crisis, Dr. Jane Orient, an internal medicine specialist and the Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), warned that diseases like Norovirus and chicken pox can potentially endanger Americans. And she specifically singled out Tuberculosis as a leading threat.

Why, this can’t be true! We’ve got FReepers right here explaining the high vaccination rates of people coming from these countries!

I wonder if syphilis, herpes, and gonorrhea are “acts of love”. The term “venereal disease” originates from “Venus” the Roman goddess of love.

You got that right!! They will explain to you how this is racist and it is our own fault that we get these diseases that they bring with them! Who would have ever thought we see a illegal apologist enablers on FR?

Another Obama administration legacy is the resurgence of these diseases in the United States.

FR had a nervous breakdown after the 2012 election. it hasn’t recovered. It’s becoming more like Twitter.

After being around as long as FR, there’s bound to be a number of paid stooges and plain psychos here.

Los Angeles embraces illegal aliens from Central American and gives them more rights than legal citizens. Now Los Angeles has diseases. Who would have known?

Yeah, kind of surprised me that they'd report what everyone knows. Probably the last we ever hear about the importation of these once obsolete diseases due to our open embrace of the illegal horde invasion.

Immigration is fine - just come in legally, and get your shots first (and preferably bring in some skills/work ethic).

All of the incidence records for these diseases—and many more—are held by male homos, you know, the disease-ridden queers some people call “gay.”

I wonder if it has anything to do with the potential upcoming contest between Kamala Harris and Villaraigosa? With Willie Brown trying to keep control of it for Harris? I know it’s a stretch, but with rats fighting rats, who knows?

Killing Americans by Jeb’s open borders is seen as an “act of love!” We’d be better off if he hated us.

I’m especially horrified by the recurrence of tuberculosis.

It killed my father back in 1938 and 10 years later we thought we had it almost under control.

Frightening.

He does hate us. I would give my left arm to know who is behind this traitor.
