Whate ever happened to being able to say you believe in Creation, Big Bang and evolution as all part of the same plan?

And the Post continues its assassination strategy against Republican candidates. What a surprise.

Sounds a bit ‘Solomonesque”. [Is there such a word?]

I like Walker’s style.

“First, he “punts” on a Creation question, and now he won’t be straight up and give an honest remark about Rudy’s Obama comments.”

Why would Walker need to comment on Ghouliani’s comment?

Rooty don’t work for him, and wasn’t speaking for him.

Rooty isn’t running for POTUS or governor of WI, and Walker isn’t running for Mare of NYC.

I can’t think of a single reason why Walker should have an opinion on what Rooty says.

Yep. And they don't like to be reminded of it, but they were also the party which had zero problem with Adolph Hitler until he attacked their good buddy Josef Stalin.

Their media cheer leaders even doted on "Uncle Adolph's" impeccable manners with the ladies and fine taste in music, women and wine before naming him man of the year.

You can look it up.

Walker should have stated the obvious, if he believes it. Mohammed Hussien Obama was raised from childhood all the way thru grad school being taught to blame America for the Worlds' ills. The history is there for all to grasp.

It would help further to educate the zombie masses who don't get this info otherwise.

At the very least, we need a candidate who is not afraid to “tell it like it is”. Walker is not that candidate.

It appears that on this point, you and Dana Milbank are in agreement.

Would you like to reconsider?

Walker is skating on some pretty thin ice here. First, he “punts” on a Creation question, and now he won’t be straight up and give an honest remark about Rudy’s Obama comments.

Obviously you demand black and white answers from politicians. Is too much to expect the same candor of you? My question, beyond legal issues of separation of church and state, how a president's beliefs creation or evolution will dictate his sactions as president. Don't give wishy washy answers based solely on beliefs - specific answers on the type issues this would make a difference.

We need a candidate who will courageously and unapologetically stand up for conservative principles. At the very least, we need a candidate who is not afraid to “tell it like it is”. Walker is not that candidate.

I agree and disagree. The evolution and Giuliani questions are just gotcha questions. He's doing the right thing not playing by the left's rules on those. Any "real" answer his gives will just be used against him.
But he does need to be clear on immigration.

>>There is absolutely no reason for Walker or any other candidate to allow themselves to get pulled into these traps by the media. <<

I agree. When the Left is reduced to arguing that a candidate (always a GOP candidate) won’t answer the question, or won’t say something to contradict another Republican, then the Left is clearly running low on ammunition. Why change tactics and resupply them?

Besides, Walker knows full well that most of the GOP has been saying the same thing about President Obama for years now. Our President is simply not on our side, and by “our” I mean America’s side.

Incidentally, I probably saw this a few years ago, but forgot it, then just saw it again today:

The letters in “President Barack Obama” also spell out “An Arab Backed Imposter”

Seems more likely every day...

Funny how the term “disqualify” is now popping up all over the place with Liberal commentators. Like it’s being coordinated (what’s that new JournOlist group, again?)

The thing is, simply having an “R” after their name “disqualified” someone from being President in the minds of folks like Milbank. They just know they need to go fishing for a reason.

There's a line to be walked, and he's trying to walk it, until he gets to the end. It's not like he's a member of the Congressional majority and actually doing things antithetical to conservatism, like they are.

Well said...

>>Walker knows how to pick his battles<<

It’s interesting watching how the press treats Walker’s non-responses to “issues” they’re trying to create. Essentially they’re reduced to complaining that he didn’t give them anything to critique, so they criticize his non-responses instead.

I view this as Walker entering the national stage and demonstrating whether or not he can handle the media. So far, so good. This isn’t necessarily surprising, given that he was faced with a hostile media both in Milwaukee when county executive, and in Madison as Governor. He’s obviously had experience at dealing with gotcha questions since he’s been elected and re-elected in spite of the efforts of Wisconsin media.

Someone in here criticized his present “right to work” stance. Again, I think this is a matter of picking his battles. The state legislature will very likely send him a bill making Wisconsin a right to work state at some point, one he would almost certainly sign, but he’s letting the legislature lead the effort, while he claims that it’s somewhat of a distraction at this time. Viewed from a national level, it is a distraction, especially when Obama has pushed both the coal industry unions and the construction industry unions away from the Dems. Why should a potential GOP presidential candidate then seek to push them away from the GOP? And that is exactly what would happen if he allowed himself to be seen as leading the right to work effort in Wisconsin today.
