He’s correct that the summit did no good....but wrongo about them not being a threat here.

I don’t see it as an existential threat. They do not have a navy. They don’t have an Air Force. They do not threaten our homeland with invasion. The countries in that area who are under threat are more than capable in defending themselves.

Comparing them to Nazi Germany is hyperbole. Germany had a huge economy. They were sinking ships at sea, and they were blitzkreiging their way across Europe. ISIS cannot produce 1/1000th what Germany did in 1938.

At BEST, they might inspire a car bomb or two which would pale compared to what the SDS did in the 60s.

Under the current administration I would protest against sending a single troop to the Middle East.

No, they pose almost no threat to us, our economy, or our way of life.
