As the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Election Commission toy with regulating aspects of the Internet, critics on those agencies are warning that speed and freedom of speech are in jeopardy. In a joint column, Federal Communications Commission member Ajit Pai and Federal Election Commission member Lee Goodman, leveled the boom on the Obama-favored regulations, essentially charging that it will muck up the freedom the nation has come to expect from the Internet. In one key passage of the column published in Politico, the duo wrote Monday that heavy-handed FCC regulations like those imposed in Europe will significantly slow down

There is one remaining issue Obama has not regulated. I for one believe toilet paper should come off the front of the roll, but wrong thinking, undisciplined people roll it off the back. Please, Mr. President, introduce a regulation to make toilet rolls consistent and equal. When this is fixed your remaking of America will be complete.
It’s absolutely necessary for Leftists in government, both in the US and around the world, to silence the Internet.
They simply cannot allow their electorates to express themselves.
It makes controlling them far too difficult.

I hate to bust everyone’s bubbles....but while living in Germany....I haven’t noticed any ‘slowness’ in my internet. I utilize streaming video like everyone else and don’t notice any issues.
I would point out one obvious difference between the US and Europe. The vast number of Europeans saddle up with their TV option and it’s only the younger generation that use streaming video currently. In fact, if one was looking for future trends...it’s possible that this youth generation in Europe will give up cable and satellite TV within the next twenty years, and everything will be pure internet delivery.
Sounds like we gotta make the most of our internet while it’s still worth a damn, which means being even more intense in defending the Bill of Rights and our country’s principles before American internet becomes to weak for that.
