True, but I don't know that he (or any other Governor) can translate that sort of winning formula over to the national level. The dynamics at that level are magnified, and are very different from those at the state level.
For my money, a successful CiC has to be able to reach into people's hearts, and persuade them to follow him. That takes a certain charisma and communication ability that only few possess. Much as we hate Obama, even he has it, which is the only thing that has enabled him to go as far as he has, these last six years.
I'm looking for a candidate who possesses the closest thing to the 'total package' as our side can produce. Walker's good, but I think he falls short in that regard.
His work is far more impressive than Perry in Texas. Texas has been growing for years. Walker cut the government and did the hard things in the face of adversity.
I like Cruz. I like Walker. Either one.
