Knock Off The Loser Talk. This Fight Hasn’t Even Begun
Townhall ^ | Mar 09, 2015 | Kurt Schlichter

Oh my goodness, the 2014 election victories didn’t end the war! You mean the progressives are still out there dreaming of a future full of hugs and goosestepping? You mean the GOP Establishment hasn’t just given up its power and knelt before us, begging to be forgiven for its craven crony corporatism? You mean the fight’s not over? ... Kurt Schlichter was personally recruited to write conservative commentary by Andrew Breitbart. He is a successful Los Angeles trial lawyer, a veteran with a masters in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, and a former stand-up comic.

Probably won't be popular here but worth reading. Of note: "There isn’t going to be a third party. The GOP has an infrastructure that is powerful, that is effective, and that we need to take over to use to promote conservatism. We can’t build a third party from scratch without giving the liberals the country for a couple decades, at the end of which our third party is likely to be outlawed anyway."

You’re right, a third party is just “handing over everything” to the Democrats! AND ... the process is a long process of making changes in the GOP. Just figure on doing it for the rest of your life, and then handing it over to the kids and grandkids to keep working on it! Just keep at it and figure that it will never be completed.

You are right. The GOPe has an infrastructure that is powerful, that is effective at defeating conservatives. The GOPe is a lost cause.

I think the country is a lost cause. I think we are following Rome to the ash heap of history.

We should not be having these debates within our own party. The fact that we are indicates we have a systemic problem. The political forces and foundational assumptions move ever leftward regardless of which party is running things.

Both the Bushes have simply moved towards the enemy's goal posts instead of running in the opposite direction. The trend is toward more government, more spying, more control, and more dominance of everyone by the ruling class.

I think the country is broken, and I don't mean just the governance of it. It is the very people themselves who are sick and disoriented.

“You are right. The GOPe has an infrastructure that is powerful, that is effective at defeating conservatives. The GOPe is a lost cause.”

And the Rats have an infrastructure that is powerful, that is effective at defeating republicans. The GOPe is lost cause.

You know, I would think that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Unfortunately both relate to the GOPe and the Rats against Conservatives.

It's been going on for sixty years, at least.

Exactly what I mean about having a "systemic problem." The Rockefeller wing of the party is all about using the power of government to make money for themselves, and they are simply not concerned with the consequences of what it does to both the government and society in the long run.

The "crony capitalism" aspect of our current political world is little different from the Fascism of Mussolini's Italy and Hitler's Germany. The Rockefeller types are little concerned about our movement into socialism so long as they can continue to get government contracts and control the means of production.

A couple of points

1. Waaaay to many people don’t understand 2 words and the relationship between them, Ideology & Politics. For them Ideology is all that matters.

2. On a related note, too many have a very narrow definition of what a Conservative is. Generally speaking (for them) its someone who agrees with them all the time, anyone else is an (evil, traitorous) RINO.

3. They live in a world that is Black & White...nothing but Absolutes. The bad news (for them) is the rest of the world doesn’t operate that way.....more like a Gray Scale.

Of course they are not. Conservatives have to battle them for control of the GOP.

Yes it will be tough but I am not giving up. We win some. Tom Cotton looks like a good man. I will donate to Ted Cruz for President.

I will also donate to Mike Lee’s campaign in Utah. Orrin Hatch is gunning for him.

I will also donate to primary opponents of GOP establishment in states where we can elect a conservative. I pray that we can get some good candidates. The reason we cannot knock off *ssholes like Twinkle-toes Graham and Lamar! is that they pay off/intimidate GOP politicians in their state so no one who can win runs. It will not be easy but like Winston Churchill said in 1940, “We will never surrender”

If I vote Democrat, the liberals win.

If I vote Republican, I get the current GOP house and senate leadership.....and the liberals win.

If I don’t vote at all, the liberals win.

If I vote 3rd party, the liberals win. But if I and a steadily increasing number of voters vote 3rd party, there’s at least a very slight chance that someday, we’ll get our constitutional government back.

I weep for my country.

I don’t think anyone is calling for surrender. But we must acknowledge that we will never get our country back via the ballet box.

Have you been to a local Republican Party meeting in your area? Have you played an active roll in trying to remove a GOPe operative at the county level?

Many of us have. Many of us have been successful and more often failed. Regardless, we have forced the local GOP to move closer to us than the Democrats.

It took 100 years for the Progressives to destroy America. It may take 50 or 100 years to remake it in a Conservative image. If you are unable to give a commitment, regardless of the failure rate, you are unable to call yourself a Conservative warier.

The Christians where murdered and driven literally underground by the Romans and the majority of the establishment of their time, yet, within a few centuries they took over the levers of power from the godless heathens and the World is a better place for all their early sufferings and that of the martyrs.

We are hardly being crucified and fed to the lions. A couple Judas Iscariot turncoats should hardly stop our continued march. Did you really expect Boehner and McConnell to give up their thirty pieces of silver without a fight?

Benedict Arnold didn't stop Washington and Benedict Boehner shouldn't stop us.

Boehner is up for election again in 18 months, he barely got out of the last primary. Let's find someone who can beat him this time and get him the $ he needs to do it.

When we get a Conservative opponent against Boehner, we should all send five dollars every day to his Conservative opponent and take the time to tell Boehner via phone and email that he is being taken out and should simply retire with dignity.

It takes a long time to undo the damage of the Devil. The Democrats and Leftists are the Devil himself and GOPe are their hand maidens, but the devil and his hand maidens are powerless, when goodness and the righteous are finally roused to action.

All this incessant bitching and moaning is simply defeatism and plays into the hands of our enemies.
