Today that number is even greater than a mere three percent. If I had to guess, I'd say that 10% or more would stand and fight, if that day ever comes.
Consider this: it's been estimated that no more than 1,500 'insurgents' were ever in country at any one time, during the fight in Iraq, yet that measly number tied up the whole U.S. military for a solid decade.
Ask yourself how long they'd be tied up trying to defeat 30 million 'insurgents'. On their own soil. Against their own brethren. Even worse, they only number about 1.5 million altogether.
Now, you tell me who you'd bet on in that fight.
