That depends if you want to consider new Medicaid recipients part of “ObamaCare”

Obamacare was sold on the premise that up to 40 million people were uninsured. If the Republican Party was serious about ending Obamacare it would be talking about the shortfall versus 40 million. It would be talking about the subsidy per individual actually enrolled in the program. This subsidy would include the taxpayer money required to administer the system, the direct subsidy from the treasury and the states, and the transfer of wealth from other taxpayers via higher insurance premiums as a result of the ACA. These higher premiums are essentially a subsidy due to individuals being forced to pay for benefits they don’t want in order to provide those benefits for others (i.e. birth control, pediatric dentistry, annual physicals).

It is clear this program is a massive failure and huge burden on the taxpayer. The administration is not going to give us real analytics. Why doesn’t Congress put the CBO to work and give us the real story?

Some of those people are now insured under Medicaid as part of the expansion of the class of who qualifies. I guess that counts as “newly insured” (although of course it’s just straight-up welfare).

But the people who already qualified for Medicaid under the old definition, but simply have now enrolled in the program they hadn’t bothered enrolling in before should not count.

Two links for you:

Obamacare is “Working a Little Better Than We Expected”––Judge for Yourself

Excerpt:
This lack of an automated enrollment process not only causes lots of headaches but also makes the enrollment numbers the administration is reporting awfully soft. One carrier told me they only ended up with half of the net January enrollments HealthCare.gov originally reported to them.

How Many People Have Enrolled So Far in Obamacare’s Second Open Enrollment?

http://healthpolicyandmarket.blogspot.com/2014/11/how-many-people-have-enrolled-so-far-in.html

Excerpt:
The answer is that this enrollment process is so screwed up we will have no earthly idea how many new people have enrolled and how many 2014 enrollees remained on the program until at least April 2015 ...... So, that is one person being counted three times and we won’t have just George’s status cleared up until George’s 2014 carrier can delete him from its rolls in April. (Note: READ THE EXAMPLE of George at the link to see how badly the enrollment process is messed up & why it will take until April to sort it out)

The administration is not going to give us real analytics.

If someone like Walker becomes the next POTUS, my guess is a forensical analysis of all Obamian programs will probably violate all GAAP standards and will parallel the bookkeeping that was utilized in Detroit.

A Freeper the other day said something prophetic...

* EITC is a mess, Billion's in Fraud.
* OK, so supplant EITC with a Health Care Voucher / Program.
* Combine a HSA and Concierge Service as a replacement for Obamacare and EITC and be done with it.

At sometime when the can get above a certain income threshold they can purchase such a plan. This could a template for VA, Medicare and Medicaid reform as well IMHO, we didn't need a universal access, anyone could have bought a plan or received pro-bono healthcare, we needed a universal platform IMHO aka a Vanilla Policy that everyone could have access to to get going, can't afford it, we can help you until you can....

All I really know and can be relatively assured of these last 6 years is that you really cannot believe anything this government says when the results are under control of the Executive Branch.

It would be talking about the subsidy per individual actually enrolled in the program. the transfer of wealth from other taxpayers via higher insurance premiums as a result of the ACA. These higher premiums are essentially a subsidy due to individuals being forced to pay for benefits they don’t want in order to provide those benefits for others (i.e. birth control, pediatric dentistry, annual physicals).”””

A thread here on FR said that the subsidies are costing the USA taxpayers $2 Billion a month for 7.7 million person. I did some math. That is just under $300 a month for each one of those persons who are getting subsidies. Then that results in $3600 or so a year per person getting subsidies.

The thread said that 7.7 million were getting that subsidy. Most of the 2015 reports about enrollment said that here were about 7.8 million who enrolled. It would seem that these 2 stories are telling us that almost every person who enrolled in Obamacare is getting a subsidy. That comment by Obama about out health care premiums going down $2500 annually is completely wrong, when just the subsidies alone to almost every person who enrolled is just a tick under $3600 annually.

Maybe this is some of the Common Core calculating with new math.

I got trained in OLD MATH and I know none of this makes a like of sense.

The American taxpayer gets punched in the gut again.

We have to elect a Congress that will end Obamacare.

“It is clear this program is a massive failure and huge burden on the taxpayer.”

A garden slug could see that by now, what concerns me is that so many Americans were STUPID enough to think that it would be something better. Expecting this mess to work out as it was advertised is equivalent to following behind a horse expecting him to drop some gold nuggets on the ground instead of what horses normally drop.
