He used to support a path to citizenship but his stance seems to be stiffening. He’s more in line with border security and taking the lure away now.

Many sensible people with sympathies to liberal causes learn that the devil is in the details as they honestly struggle with the issues.

There’s nothing wrong with helping needy people in foreign countries — privately, on people’s voluntary dimes. Don’t put it on the back of the general taxpayer.

I wish FReepers would get off the “Path to Citizenship” canard. The United States has had a “path to citizenship” since our founding. It has taken various forms in various eras, depending upon the needs of the nation. But, it’s always been there. It is in the CONSTITUTION, for Heavens’ sake.

Our problem in this era is that this president will not enforce the current requirements.
