I’m kind of liking the parliamentary system recently. Ever since we got a King in the US the parliamentary system makes more sense to me.
Issue with the US is that if the President wants to ignore everything he can and there isn’t anything to stop him (assuming he’s popular enough). So we are basically voting for a dictator.
In a parliament you’re basically voting for a king of congress so there is no real dictator. If you lose their support you’re done. The down side is it can have sweeping changes from parliament to parliament; however, as we see with the US system...if the King/president wants to do whatever he wants then he still enforces his will on the people without any support of the congress.
So what if they find that Obama personally gave Tax Payer dollars to support the opposition. No one here will do jack about it. It will just make us more frustrated.
