'We can't forget' Netanyahu comments on Palestinian statehood, US says

Despite attempts by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to clarify comments made during his election campaign that a Palestinian state would not emerge under his tenure, the White House will nevertheless "still evaluate" its policy on the Middle East peace process, Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters on Thursday.

The prime minister's comments, he said, call into question his commitment to the pursuit of peace and have forced the US government to reassess the the government's stance.

With a sharpened tone since first reacting to Israel's election results on Wednesday,Earnest characterized Netanyahu's suggestion that Arabs were voting "in droves" against him as a "cynical Election Day tactic."

The US has supported two states for two peoples, the Jewish state of Israel and a Palestinian state of Palestine, for decades.

"Certainly, the prime minister's comments from a few days ago called into question his commitment to that," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Thursday.

"We believe he changed his position," she continued. "We can't forget about those comments."

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the pursuit of peace seems to be a one way street with it all being on the Israeli’s.

Seems the Arabs can scream “Death to Israel”, and “Death to America” all they want, but don’t let that louse Netanyahu say anything against them.

When challenged on the comment, the national spokesman place his fingers in his ears, closed his eyes, and said, “Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah...”

Ten minutes later, the press left the room.

...nah nah nah nah nah...”

Twenty minutes later a correspondent walked by and looked in.

“...nah nah nah nah nah...”

Six hours later other staff came in to let the spokesman know it was time to go home...

“...nah nah nah nah nah...”

The next morning still there...

“...nah nah nah nah nah nah...”

Bibi is very sly, he never has been for a Palestinian state next to Israel. In his Bar-Ilan University speech of 2009 he stated that a two-state solution required “a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes a Jewish state” This is impossible to achieve as the Palis will never agree to it... As I said, Bibi is sly and he is not for a Pali state... he is for eternal, pointless negotiations that lead nowhere but help to quiet the leftists.

But, if Israel says just one "Death to two-state solution", all hell breaks loose.

Netanyahu Flip Flop: I Want a Two-State Solution [Israel]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3269715/posts

Days after vowing not to establish a Palestinian state, Netanyahu says something else in his first post-election interview.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has retracted his pre-election statements, according to which he would not allow a Palestinian state to be established.

“I don’t want a one-state solution. I want a sustainable, peaceful two-state solution,” Netanyahu said Thursday in an interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “I haven’t changed my policy.”

Netanyahu said his earlier comments were a reflection of changing conditions on the Palestinian side, pointing to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s pact to form a unity government with Hamas, which Israel, the U.S. and most European countries consider a terrorist organization.

“I’m talking about what is achievable and what is not achievable,” Netanyahu said Thursday, insisting that he would support a demilitarized Palestinian state under a plan that would ensure Israel’s security.

For decades? It's not Obama's idea? Bibi ought to decline forming a government.

More evidence. As if Ny were needed. That the obMa administration changed sides in the war on terror. And joined with the terrorists.

Yeah, for about twenty years, when the USA and Israel and the PA signed on to the Oslo Accords and all the subsequent agreements.

The palis may have a “state” when they renounce their insistence that Israel be eliminated.

They’ve been telegraphing for some time their intention to drop a Security Council bomb on Israel, compelling it to cede territory and turn about 600,000 Jews into refugees. It looks like they’re trying to use this as a pretext to do what they were planning to do in any case.

What we need is a Three State solution.
The Jordanians take back their Arabs on the West Bank. The Egyptians take back their Arabs in the Gaza Strip and Israel annexes both.

Both Egypt and Jordan purged themselves of the systemic poison. And now you want them to take it again?
