‘Cruz’s Cuban ancestry probably contributed to his capture of 40 percent of the Hispanic vote in the 2012 Texas senate contest.”

Does anyone know if they Hispanics voted against the dem Lt. Gov. and for Cruz, simply because he sounded like he was Mexican?

I sure hope not and they voted because they were impressed with his record and saw that he had the values they admired.

Besides your question, do you know what you’d call a Republican nominee who got 40% in a national election?

In the last few national elections Hispanics voted 70% democrat plus or minus a few % points.
