If I was deaf or blind, I would understand that yes, I have some limitations that prevent me from doing certain jobs without someone actually performing the job for me. A blind truck driver with a sighted driver sitting on his lap steering would be a good analogy.

So here we go, this is productivity.
Who picks up the phone? The phone rings, the interpreter hears it, tells our ROTUS, the ROTUS in turn does her job by HANDING THE PHONE to the interpreter! It’s confusing.
It was stunning to see they did an article for her and did not see the madness about what they were reporting.
I never watch that show because of this stuff, however telling us she can do anything while it takes another person to do her job is completely nuts.
Liberals can’t understand we all have limitations. I am no good at math at all and so I don’t do a job like a math teacher.
Plus the cost of any additional "accomodations" she might require (flashing light when someone knocks on office door, flasher on phone, sub-captions, etc.) I have an idea, rescind all "anti-discrimination" laws and just let people hire those they think are best for the job.
I’ll bet the interpreter gets paid more than the receptionist also.
The “deaf receptionist” is accompanied by a hearing interpreter.
So we have to pay 2 people so this dame can feel good about herself. That’s ridiculous. I’m sure there’s another job she’s actually qualified for.
This is like something out of that fake/not fake/incredibly bizarre TV show “The Joe Schmoe Show”.
The story is actually one of those canned news stories created by NBC HQ that local stations pick up and show during their news broadcasts.
So this is actually being shown at pretty much every local NBC outlet in the country. We saw it on our local NBC news show and the talking head thought it was wonderful.
Everyone is fawning over the deaf girl and the unattractive interpreter is pretty much ignored - even though she is essentially doing the work of two people!
I bet there are millions who have watched this and said “oh that is so good”.
I will never understand how liberals and those sheep just follow blindly. it’s completely nuts to have a deaf receptionist . I mean it’s like having a blind pilot.
Insanity and I do wonder if these talking heads believe what they say or actually think this is plain stupid.
Any plane Obama is on is by defintion “air farce one”. When he steps off the plane it becomes “Air Force One”
The thing is there are plenty of jobs that people who are “differently abled” can do just fine, but there are some that are just inappropriate or damned near impossible for someone who has a certain disability to do or do safely!
Someone who is deaf would be able to be a great computer programmer for instance.
However they may not be good in an environment dealing people in a job that demands a high degree of social interaction or a job that is around machinery that makes a noises that can has certain noises like alarms or part grinding that would indicate a problem.
Someone who is blind may be great at telemarketing, but again they would not be very good at driving a bus.
I myself am great at computers but horrible at dealing with people on a physical level (touching other people), I would make a horrible Nurse.
The liberal PC mindset is to ignore anyone’s limitations even AT the EXPENSE of Effectiveness, or worse SAFETY!!!!!

Yup. A politically connected person assigned to a show job she can’t really do, with someone to take all of her calls and do her verbal translating, at twice the cost of a person actually qualified to do the job.
