We have allowed our country to be colonized.
Our government is more concerned about protecting them from our laws than protecting us from them.
We have to convince people to stop holding their noses while voting and throw out of office all the cheap labor importers.
You are very close to the truth there; the correct term is invasion
and it is something that the Constitution demands military action with [see Art 4, Sec 4].
The sooner we-as-a-country recognize our open-borders political-elite as perpetrators of Treason as defined by the Constitution the better.
Our government is more concerned about protecting them from our laws than protecting us from them.
There's a reason for this, aside from the cheap labor, and that is the imposition of a de facto caste system wherein they replace the American middle-class with peoples used to government corruption and control.
Drudge has a story about Buffalo NY receiving shipments of trafficked immigrants; this is about much more than cheap labor. Immigrants are being trafficked here to prevent the complete de-population of whole areas, and the targeted areas seem to be far north of the border where Anglos are fleeing high taxes (and the resulting loss of jobs). Just as Minnesota received Somalis years ago, NJ and NY are receiving tons of Hispanics and Asians; without them, there would be many ghost towns here.
Years from now, there will be a debate about which came first: The immigrants, or the costs associated with them. When that arises, remember that they were brought here and injected into dying areas with no expectation that they would ever contribute anything other than wealth transfers via federal aid programs (food stamps, Section 8 rent subsidies, etc.). They are being trafficked to keep the government worker infrastructure functioning/employed (teachers, cops, etc.), as well as retail establishments.
