Crystal O’Connor co-owns a pizzeria in Indiana but they may close their doors permanently after being attacked for putting forth their Christian faith. When she said she would not cater a gay wedding, the shop’s website was hacked, their Yelp profile was plastered with insults and obscene pictures, and they even received death threats.
A supporter has begun a “GoFundMe” profile for the Pizzeria owners to help them weather the gay mafia storm, and they have so many people angry that they’ve received over $18,000 in donations in just two hours!

It’s not a “good cause” ... if the funder says nothing about where the money is going. Take a look and see if you can find “one thing” on that page if any of the money is going there.
If you give money to a charitable organization, they have to account for the money that they receive and how much of it goes to overhead and how much is passed on to the ones who are supposed to benefit from the charity.
You have no idea here, if the over head for handling this is 90% overhead (which some charitable organizations has been known to have) or whether it’s 50% overhead or it’s 20% overhead or what.
When I give money here to Free Republic, at least I know that it’s 100% to Free Republic and the expenses are listed out for us.

Even IF I wanted to give money to them, I can’t, I just don’t have the extra money to donate so I am giving money to the Ted Cruz 2016 campaign.

You clearly don’t understand how crowdfunding sites work. Many folks last year donated to help Darren Wilson (the cop in the Ferguson “gentle giant” shooting) out. Officer Wilson did not set up the campaign but he did receive the funds.
A word to the wise... you shouldn’t obsess on what other people do with their hard-earned money and they won’t obsess over your contributions to Scientology (or whatever other causes/charities you support). In a word, “lighten up, Frances”.

I would imagine Gofundme has this covered in anticipation of fraud. I don’t know, but I imagine the money goes in an acct that can only be accessed by who the money is meant to go to. Just a guess.

I agree on all fronts to be wise in what organisation anyone donates money to, but this is a small business owner being forcefully being shut down by the intolerant Gay Nazi Mata.
If the Blaze is involved in helping raising donations for them, then it’s legit.
There are a lot of “charitable organizations” and a lot of legitimate ones can have “overhead” (which is subtracted from donations) of 50% or 75% or more! And that is legitimate, because they report that and donors are supposed to know that.
Here on this funder you know NOTHING about that, and if ANy of the money is going to them. Although even if just 10% went to the Pizza place, the person receiving the money could say that the whole process cost 90% and therefore only 10% is left for the Pizza place.
You don’t know because the funder does not say!
