Obama concerned by ‘less-than-loving’ Christians

President Obama appeared set to go after his political opponents on Tuesday during an Easter Prayer Breakfast, but he stopped himself before veering further off script.

“On Easter, I do reflect on the fact that, as a Christian, I am supposed to love,” the president said during the breakfast at the White House. “And I have to say that, sometimes when I listen to other less-than-loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned.”

Obama paused, then remarked “that’s a topic for another day,” sparking laughter from the audience gathered in the East Room.

“Love” does not mean approving of everything someone does.

Any rational person should understand that.

It is not “love” to allow a person to enter into danger without warning him.

Any rational person should understand that.

Ya, that’s right — those clingers that he was referring to a couple of years ago.

Well we’re not exactly excited by your support of he head-lopping and women and child raping Islamists you support. Don’t even try Taqiyyaing us at this point in the game. The devil is getting no sympathy here. You’re starting to lose ground in your game so you’re throwing a pair of 2 ‘s down and trying to hold a straight face. Just go ahead and fold. You’ll get a lot more love then.

You sinners! We should love Iran by agreeing that they can wipe Israel off the map.

Most often when Christians hear accusations that they do not “love enough” or love the way Jesus loves, or act the way Jesus acts, the accusations come from people who are no where to be found where Jesus teaches and preaches the Gospel, namely inside a church sanctuary where the body and blood of Christ are distributed to poor sinners who need it. The accusations of those who refuse to sit at Jesus feet hold no sway, nor will they have effect on the Day of Judgment accept as words by which the accusers themselves will be condemned.

As for their use of Sacred Scripture to accuse those who are within the ark of Christendom, they are little different than howling beasts. Proper accusations originate from a holy God, who demands a love they do not know, because they do not fear, love, or trust in Him. If they did, they would regularly hear His Word and follow Him, abiding in His forgiveness and disciplining every urge that militates against God.

They are invited to the same feast of forgiveness that all Christians participate in, yet the invitation falls on deaf ears, otherwise they would be where Jesus is. The Scriptures remain a closed book to them; therefore, like the devil who tempted Christ in the desert, they cherry pick from the Sacred Scriptures and twist them to suit their pleasures. Rather than accept discipline and rebuke, like fools they carry on in delusions as if love is without discipline.

For I am ready to fall,
And my sorrow is continually before me.

For I confess my iniquity;
I am full of anxiety because of my sin.

But my enemies are vigorous and strong,
And many are those who hate me wrongfully.

And those who repay evil for good,
They oppose me, because I follow what is good.

Do not forsake me, O LORD;
O my God, do not be far from me!

Make haste to help me,
O Lord, my salvation!

-Psalm 38:17-22

What is the humor in that statement from Obama?

“We have no government armed in power capable of contending in human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our
Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”
John Adams
Bottom line: WE ARE NO LONGER THAT PEOPLE and are now nearing the end of the process fulfilling Mr. Adams’ dire prediction.
It will get worse from here.

Tocqueville spoke to the same problem after his visit here, to wit:
“I sought for the key to the greatness and genius of America in her harbors...;in her fertile fields and boundless forests; in her rich mines and vast world commerce; in her public school system and institutions of learning.  I sought for it in her democratic Congress and in her matchless Constitution. Not until I went into her churches and saw pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.” (Alexis de Tocqueville, 1840)

“When the religion of a people is destroyed, doubt gets hold of the higher powers of the intellect, and half paralyzes all the others.  Every man accustoms himself to have only confused and changing notions on the subjects most interesting to his fellow-creatures and himself. His opinions are ill-defined and easily abandoned; and, in despair of ever solving by himself the hard problems respecting the destiny of man, he ignobly submits to think no more about them. Such a condition cannot but enervate the soul, relax the springs of the will, and prepare the people for servitude. Not only does this happen, in such a case, that they allow their freedom to be taken from them; they themselves frequently surrender it.”
-—Alexis de Tocqueville, “Democracy in America” (1840)

The end game of the secular progressives is in sight! Will we resist or submit and surrender?
BTW, If you believe this “stuff” is just so early 1800s, you are part of the problem.

What are you doing listening to these "other Christians", Barack?
