I don't drink, so the loss of wine is, for me, non-consequential, but I LOVE almonds, and I especially love(d) California almonds ... but it seems the water situation has eliminated California almonds from our menu.

So too, California wine may also be eliminated form our menu

We talk of nuking Iran, but here in our own nation we have a a large number of people equally as evil, with more patience

California lawmakers and politicians seem to have a way of making law, rule and regulation so severe, no one can earn a decent living without the gummint intervention and those that can are regulated out of their ability.

Regulated out of my ability ... hmmmm ... I LIKE that ... I'll meditate on it a bit.

Some 95% of the personal woe in this world is self-induced. I blame the people who elected these doctrinaire “conservationists” and “environmentalists” to positions of power, and once in power, they enacted legislation that flies in the face of physics and common sense at every turn.

Beyond all expectations, they have chosen to pour billions into the construction of a “train to nowhere” right down the center of what was once the most productive breadbasket in the world, the San Joaquin valley, and in the process, dried up all the resources that may have gone to alleviating the impending drought situation.

They could start a crash program for massive desalination plants to use the resources of the Pacific Ocean to replenish the coastal cities and inland agricultural aquifers, but that might mean that somebody, maybe even the “wrong” people, could run the enterprise profitably, and that would be - unacceptable.
