Please. He played quite well this week. After no tourneys in two months and no success in over a year due to back surgery, he put together a pretty good week. Tiger will likely be right back to the top this year. He’s going back to work on his swing and will likely resurface in May for some practice tourneys before the Open. I would not be surprised to see him win it or the PGA in August.

Tiger’s main problem is not lack of talent. Anyone who wins 76 tour events including 14 majors has talent coming out of his ears. Tiger’s problem is he is getting old, and the swing which won all those tournaments was a young man’s swing. In his 20’s his club head speed was astonishingly fast.

The reason “Big easy” Ernie Els and Vijay Singh are still playing great at their age is because they always had beautiful smooth swings. Tiger may and may not be able to adapt to an old man’s swing. Radical swing changes are never easy.
