Dong-Shik, a South Korean national, was abducted, tortured and murdered by North Korean agents for his activities in helping North Korean defectors fleeing that repressive totalitarian state.

The Israeli NGO Shurat HaDin won a massive $330m default award judgment in US federal court against North Korea for its crime against this man. It sends a message to totalitarian regimes they're not above the law and will be held accountable for violating human rights.

Its a landmark judgment and one well deserved here - for the victim and his family and others persevering in their human rights work under the most dangerous of circumstances.
