Jack Welch was one of the best CEO’s ever, when he ran GE it was very successfull. Part of his philosophy was when a division got to 300 million he would start another similar division producing the same thing and they would compete. Very much a believer in capitalism and competition. When Imelt took over he did the socialist thing, bought AOL, created time Warner and lost $.

In mine, the statists/unionists would stay at the original site while the real value-adders would move to the new and wipe the original site out of business.
