True to DARPAs mission, EXACTO has demonstrated what was once thought impossible: the continuous guidance of a small-caliber bullet to target. This live-fire demonstration from a standard rifle showed that EXACTO is able to hit moving and evading targets with extreme accuracy at sniper ranges unachievable with traditional rounds. Fitting EXACTOs guidance capabilities into a small.50-caliber size is a major breakthrough and opens the door to what could be possible in future guided projectiles across all calibers.

I’d be worried that the bullet would somehow misidentify me as a “target” and do a 180!

Awesome, can’t wait for the Klintons or some crony-socialist in the US Government to sell this technology to the Chinese, Iranians and Russians.

It is a good technology for fighting low intensity warfare. It might make some difference in the behaviours of politicians around the world, but great many of them use body doubles in many instances.
The biggest problem with assassinations is properly I.D. ing the target.
It may cut down the logistics burden a bit, would need to know the ancillary equipment required.
