There is still a long way to go until the 2016 election. On radio, we talked about the real possibility that twelve (and maybe as many as fifteen) different candidates could wind up running for the Republican nomination.
Were going to learn a lot about each of them through the process, but in the meantime, we can continue to endlessly speculate about how each one will handle certain hypothetical situations. Who is the best communicator? Who is the best on policy? Who can raise the money? What are the particular candidates strong points, and what are their weak points?
If you listen or watch my radio and tv shows, you know Ive been known to shower praise on Ted Cruz to the point that it almost makes him uncomfortable. The man has taken every opportunity possible to stand for principle and has shown his character wont be destroyed by entering Washington DC. Thats rare.
As we were discussing the challenges for Cruz and others, I mentioned that Cruz might have a tough time putting together a coalition because of all the work the media and politicians on left and right have done vilifying him. The way I tried to poorly summarize that was to say that Im not sure he could govern.
Of course, the media has jumped all over that as if Vladimir Putin just came out as anti-Russia. But, context is key here. The specific example we used to discuss what we meant by coalitions and to govern was George W. Bushs infamous decision in the midst of bailout mania as he abandoned free market principles to save the free market system. Bush quite clearly built a broad coalition to govern in that instance, but I dont consider that something to aspire to.

Here’s the thing. Beck knows more than most people that the media will seize on ANYTHING a Republican or conservative says about anotheer that can be used against the candidate.
He KNEW he was giving the media ammo to shoot Cruz with. He is also well aware that the media will NOT report his backpedal. The damage was done, and Beck knows it.
End of story.
Beck is an establishment tool and a Mormon loon.
Beck also said Ben Carson has no chance of winning now that he made the gay comment and had to backtrack and he is not ready for prime time. Beck said Carson has no interest in coming on his show. I am sure Carson sees no benefit to it after all Beck had to say about him.
I can understand how it seems that way, but he did say that Huckabee is only running as an establishment Republican to take votes away from Cruz.
Who cares what a washed-up, loser, former drunk thinks? Not I. Idiot undoubtedly destroyed too many neurons.
I propose a live debate between Ted Cruz and Glen Beck on his show and let Glen have Ted Cruz respond to Glen Beck’s unfounded BS.
Need to update that pandering multible faces political cartoon of Mitt Romney for Rander Pander.
Good then,
FU Glen Beck ! , you dope !
Glen Ted Cruz is the only choice for conservatives..
All he does is fawn over Cruz. He has literally said "Cruz is America's best hope."
“Need to update that pandering multible faces political cartoon of Mitt Romney for Rander Pander.”
*****
It would incite some Libertarian Party activists to draw the Prophet Rander but they’d be too stoned to actually do anything more than debate it.
