Almost immediately after former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina announced she was running for president last week, her staff was dogged by questions about why they had failed to secure the Web domain carlyfiorina.org, which had been purchased by a Democratic activist who used it to post a message about how many people HP had allegedly laid off while Fiorina was the companys chief executive.
As Fiorina made the media rounds over the next week, she responded to questions from the media about the domain gaffe with a sense of humor and with a few tricks up her sleeve. During a Wednesday appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Meyers asked Fiorina about the domain, and Fiorina responded by asking Meyers, Do you know who owns SethMeyers.org?
I do. I just bought it in the green room! That domain now redirects to Fiorinas campaign website.

Good for her. She can attack pantsuit like a man cant. Let her Then throw her some administration job.
She’d be a better Secretary of State than the last 2 holders of that office.
I like her aggression, but I wouldn’t vote for her.
Maybe she can have a cabinet job or something. She has an actual backbone.
If she became the nominee and Hillary was her opponent, nothing she could have possibly done at HP would make me vote for Hillary.
There is nothing "alleged" about the THOUSANDS of people she caused to be laid off by her poor decisions as CEO of HP.
THOUSANDS of people did in fact lose their jobs. The acquisition of Compaq by HP was a disaster, and Fiorina's decision to turn HP into a consumer products company, shifting away from their lucrative Unix Server and Services business along with their medical devices business (just two examples among many) caused wars in HP's board room.
She seriously F'ed up that company.
I had the "opportunity" to meet her and have my picture taken with her in 2002 at an HP Award Ceremony called the Bravo Awards here in Chicago.
I refused. I showed up, picked up my award and left. I wanted nothing to do with her, and I sure as hell don't want her anywhere near the White House in ANY capacity.
So would my cat. Carly takes a beating on HP, but layoffs happen when you’re trying to save a company and the board thought buying Compaq was a great move. They were wrong but she took the hit, which is fair as the boss.
I don’t know much about her, but if she’ll lay off half the federal government, I’ll vote for her.
why only half lol. But Pelosi said there’s no room and nothing left to cut!!!
then I read last week that a startling percentage of federal workers spend their entire day working for their union. Just great.
I am liking what I am seeing with this lady. She’s still No. 3 behind Cruz and Walker, but that’s not a bad place to be at this stage of the game.
Good point.
At least she was held accountable in the private sector though.
Let’s not overlook the possibility of also reminding others here of Carly’s attack on fellow Republican Tom Campbell in 2010, in the infamous “demon sheep” ad.

Yes, a lot of people want to conveniently forget that very dark, and incompetent, period in her history.
I like her aggression, ...
She has an actual backbone.
Yep. So do I.
Or is just the same game, just corporate-speak talk and attacking rivals, on the part of Carly?
She’s good at attacking democrats. I’ll give her that. Seems to be more effective at attacking Hillary than any of the men running for president.
That doesn’t mean I’ll vote for her.
Looking at the broader perspective over the years, Carly is just good at attacking, period.
The problem is, she attacks the company she works for (HP paid big to get rid of her) and the party she works for (fellow Republican Tom Campbell in 2010).
So her attacks on Hillary is better seen as just part of what Carly does.
We shouldn’t be so quick to celebrate that at the expense of ignoring the facts of Carly’s true record, particularly since we have lived to regret the media’s sudden abandonment of their responsibility in 2008 when they intentionally overlooked Obama’s true record and past as well.
Carly doesn’t have a snowball’s chance.
The more I hear, the more I like her.
