Scott Walker and That Koch Money
Red State ^ | May 13, 2015 | davenj1

Eight months out from the first caucus, the Left is already developing a message about the potential Republican nominee. It will make little difference who that candidate will be which illustrates two things. First, their logic is inconsistent given the online rhetoric thus far. Second,it is obvious from the main target of that rhetoric that they probably fear this candidate more than any other at this point. Given these attacks, the rhetoric and the vitriol,it is obvious that they are most worried about Scott Walker. .........

[snip]

...........Safe to say,Americans for Prosperity have been supporters of Scott Walker in the past. That would leave anyone to believe that they would do so in the future, and so what? Most of these accusations that Walker is a puppet of the Koch brothers stems from his initial election in 2010 and the follow-up recall effort that ended in dismal failure for Walker’s detractors. And the list of alleged sins are long and ludicrous. For example, they accuse AFP of busing thousands of Walker supporters to Madison to counteract the “grassroots” uprising against Walker’s union policies. They conveniently leave out that unions did the same thing, except they reached to out-of-state agitators who had nothing to do with Wisconsin.

Unfortunately, besides the selective amnesia on the Left, facts get in the way as they often do. First, there are the accusations that the Koch brothers donated enormous sums to Walker’s 2010 gubernatorial campaign. Even the best investigative studies show that they donated at most $43,000 to the Walker effort which is half of what they donated to Andrew Cuomo’s effort that year in New York. Why the lack of an outcry? Debbie Wasserman-Schultz made the assertion that Koch money totaling $8 million was expended on the Walker election and recall efforts. Even a Leftist website like PolitiFact rated this claim totally false....

Yet... when we query the left about the undue monetary and policy influences of George Soros, Tom Steyer and Warren Buffett, the response... always.. is *crickets*.

So... screw them. They have their billionaires and we have ours.

Koch Bros inc. gives money to everybody. Maybe I should send Hillary a buck and blog about
how much of a traitor she is for not stopping me.

Maybe the msm should also go after Hillary's crooked money first which IMO is the bigger story.

The Koch brothers are reasonable and intelligent, so it seems obvious they would support Gov Walker.

The liberal hit script is easy enough to predict — what will be interesting is how many “conservatives” will parrot the left’s argument in support of other candidates.

There are more liberal and libertarian billionaires who donate far more than the conservative ones. They promote causes and not candidates. The candidate aligns with their cause or they don’t fund. It’s that simple.

The media ignores every billionaire dime donated to liberal causes and candidates as if they don’t even exist.

Why don’t we just respond to the media, every time they bait the Koch brothers’ funding with “you have a Soros problem to handle.”

For many decades liberals have believed voters and supporters of conservative candidates and the candidates themselves are merely puppets of rich, greedy forces seeking to make themselves richer at the expense of average Americans who suffer greatly in America.

Just look at all those emaciated wretches begging for food on the streets of the country. Well, actually look at the mostly extremely well fed bottom class of Americans who stagger down the street under the weight of their large bellies heading towards Walmart to buy more toys.

Like Thomas "What's The Matter With Kansas?" Frank, liberals can never get it through their thick heads that conservative Americans support conservative candidates because they, the voters, are conservatives. Nobody is a puppet of dark, sinister forces...unless conservative voters are dark sinister forces. Which libs are more than happy to believe.

They simply can't believe conservative voters would support conservative candidates because they strongly feel America and Americans would be far better off not relying on Big Strong Government to fill all their needs. Simple as that.

Breitbart:

“Shirley & Banister Public Affairs will be handling strategic communications for Walker’s Super PAC, the Unintimidated PAC, and providing historical context that will prove crucial for the campaign. Since the firm’s two partners—Craig Shirley and Diana Banister—are extraordinarily connected among major players in the conservative movement, they’ll be filling a key gap in Walker’s growing team of influential staffers.

“We’re delighted to join this fantastic team working on behalf of Governor Walker,” said Banister, President of SBPA. “His refreshing approach to important national issues, shows Governor Walker is a strong leader who is truly unintimidated by powerful political forces and the Washington-knows-best-mentality that often leaves behind the best interests of the American people. We gladly join him in this fight.”

“One of the hallmarks of SBPA is we only work with people with whom we agree and we not only agree with Governor Walker, we admire him,” Shirley said in an emailed statement to Breitbart News. “He is a conservative, he is honest, ethical, tough and principled. We are proud of our new association with Governor Walker.”

The firm has been active in the conservative movement since 1984, helped Reagan’s re-election, has represented groups like the National Rifle Association, Tea Party Patriots, the Club For Growth, and more. Instead of focusing on mainstream media efforts, Shirley & Banister focuses much of its resources on new media like conservative online media, talk radio and other grassroots-centered materials–yet another sign that Walker doesn’t care about the Washington establishment way of doing things.”........
