President Reuven Rivlin was born on September 9, 1939, in Jerusalem.

However, according to the Google search engine, the tenth president of the State of Israel was born in “Palestine.”

The Mayor of Ra’anana, Ze’ev Bielski, made the shocking discovery.

“While working on a speech for the arrival of President to Ra’anana, and I typed his name into Google in English, and then we were amazed to see that says he was born in Jerusalem—in the Palestinian state,” Bielski stated to Yediot Aharonot on Friday. […]

This is not the first time that Google has leaned toward labeling parts of Israel as “Palestine.” …

If you google “Palestine Flag 1939” you will the flag of that area before the second world war. Its blue and white with a Star of David smack dab in the middle of it.
IT was in a pre-war Atlas.

Palestine is historically accurate, since the Israelites are the actual ‘Philistines’.

But don’t tell a Liberal unless you want to see their head rotate 360 degrees and lift straight into the air in a tizzy...

When you meet people who claim to be “Palestinian” as I have more than 30 times they are usually born in Beirut or some other place OUTSIDE of what is now Israel/Palestine. When pressed they will tell you proudly that they are “SPIRITUALLY PALESTINIAN” or that their families are “PALESTINIAN.” Oddly when you press them if their fathers or mothers have roots in “what is now called Israel by the Jews” they will say yes (but retreat to no when you ask for details) or simply say no.

(What's really funny is that I have been behind these people in customs lines (sometimes entertaining their 3+ kids) and their completely dubious verbal claims generally get them understanding nods and visas, whereas Israelis coming into the US on weekend multimillion dollar business deals are asked: CHOCOLATE? Did you say you were bringing CHOCOLATE? How much chocolate? Is it as a gift? Is it a business sample? Have you paid requisite duties? Were you on a farm in the last week?..."

Boy, what a dumb article!

He was born in 1939, in Jerusalem, in Palestine, which was what the British called the territory they controlled under a mandate from the League of Nations.

What logic would it have made to refer to the fact that his birthplace was from 1948 to 1967 was split between Israel and Jordan and has since 1948 been controlled by Israel?

In 1939, when he was born, the area was known as Palestine.

This is a tactic to legitimize the claim of a Palestine. Just like the same-sex marriage crowd, getting married in one of the states where same-sex marriage is recognized, but trying to ‘divorce’ in a state where the marriage isn't valid. If the state lets you divorce, then by default they are recognizing your ‘marriage’. And yes, many dictionaries have now included the same-sex addition to the definition of marriage. How far our standards have fallen. If Leftists didn't have low standards, they would have no standards at all.

There is a screenshot of precisely what is mentioned in the article on the Yedioth Ahranoth article referenced herein.

Mandatory Palestine was and is not the pretender “State of Palestine”.

Care to read a little deeper before letting the anti-Zionist sentiment fly?

Saying he was born in “Jerusalem, Palestine,” as the headline says, is factually and historically accurate. Saying he was born in “Jerusalem, State of Palestine” is factually and historically inaccurate, just as it would be to say he was born in “Jerusalem, Israel.”

Leftists don’t want standards; they want power.
“Undoubtedly,” it will be said, “religious, moral, philosophical, and juridical ideas have been modified in the course of historical development. But religion, morality, philosophy, political science, and law, constantly survived this change. There are, besides, eternal truths, such as Freedom, Justice, etc., that are common to all states of society. But Communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religion and all morality, instead of constituting them on a new basis; it therefore acts in contradiction to all past historical experience.” […]

The Communist revolution is the most radical rupture with traditional property relations; no wonder that its development involved the most radical rupture with traditional ideas. […] (T)he first step in the revolution by the working class is to raise the proletariat to the position of ruling class to win the battle of democracy.
Lenin admitted that although Marxism tells them where to start and what means to go about the “revolution”, it tells them nothing about how to govern. Just that they would end up with “an association in which the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all” . . . without any element of society.

And that’s their point. The results did say that Rivlin was born in the “State of Palestine”.

Born in Palestine in 1939. This Palestine?

Of course history matters not to todays palestinians. Or anti Israel pro "Palestinians" throughout the west. Including the professor in the White House and his sidekicks, who arrogate themselves to tell Jews where to live. Forget the Muslim world, they're fine erasing history.
