Mr President, how exactly are rising seas a threat to the nation’s defense? Assuming the seas rise 1 to 4 feet in a century—100 years—do you not understand that bases can be moved? Do you also not understand that technology is constantly advancing and 100 years is a very, very long time to come up with solutions? AND, even if those particular bases are forced to shut down, how does that threaten the nation itself? Are we going to be invaded by rising seas????
No. You want to know real threats to national defense? How about porous borders, an economy burdened by unrelenting bureaucracy and taxation, military cutbacks to fund payouts to special interests, focusing on social engineering rather than military power, bowing to Muslim terrorists, etc.
