Obama’s Department of Justice is working on “more than a dozen” new gun control regulations it plans to begin implementing apart from Congress. Some of the regulations are set to be put in place by November, others simply by the end of the Obama administration.
According to The Hill, “the regulations range from new restrictions on high-powered pistols to gun storage requirements” and the issuance of “new rules expanding criteria for people who do not quality for gun ownership.”
Part and parcel to this new “criteria” will be an ATF-implemented ban on gun ownership for anyone “convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence.” Gun Owners of America’s Michael Hammond warns that under this rule the person barred from gun ownership “could be [someone] who spanked his kid, or yelled at his wife, or slapped her husband.”
The new regulations will also include ATF enlargements on mental health-based gun ownership bans. Hammond summed this up by saying, “The Obama administration is trying very hard to disqualify people from owning a gun on the basis that they are seeing a psychologist.” And the NRA pointed out that because most mentally ill persons pose no threat to society, the new regulations will actually become “snares [for] masses of mostly harmless individuals.”

The foot in the door like a vacuum cleaner salesman trick. We just need to slam it so hard they loose their toes. If they get even one piece of this trash through they are going to ram the rest of it down our thoats. You know they are going to put all these women on TV that were shot or people in the those families who had their sisters shot to sell this. Expect to also see persons that wete shot and disfigured so bad it makes you wince. Expect it. Theu won’t mention how many women defended themselves from attackers or people who stopped home invasions, thefts and rapes. They want us defenseless so they can bring in sharia rule and destroy the United States and its role in world policing so they can get get down to brass tacks on the NWO and bringing Satan to power disguised as Allah. They’ll say I need a tin foil hat or saying this but look around. Everywhere you look you can see the signs.

So much for a God Given Right which shall not be infringed.
Once you can take that right from one class of individual (felons) you can take the right from any and all individuals......if you know the right emotions to appeal to to sell it to the masses.
It wasn't until 1968 that there were restrictions placed on who "met the criteria" to the 2nd Amendment, it is applauded by many even here.

The ‘GunSense’ crowd already did bring in out-of-state grannies crying to our legislators about relatives who were shot by an evil firearm (also out of our state). It worked, so you’re right - expect to see this on a national level.
Unless you have a FFL the ATF has no jurisdiction over your guns.
Fellow Freepers you better get ready all of these actions by this administration are designed to minimize conservative influence and eventually make us all criminals.
The time has come to starve the beast and get ready to fight.
