this was a good deal to him. he got to release five of the enemy and get back a deserter who cost good men their lives searching for him.

I just don’t see this story getting ant traction with the Hastert scandal. You just know that the GOPe could not have been as ignorant about the matter as they are letting on.
The entire republican field of candidates is going to get tarred with this whole thing.

I don’t get this. We sent them to sensitivity training before we released them. It doesn’t make sense.

I doubt that Hastert told anybody he buggered boys but I suspect that the GOP establishment is full of sleaze bags hiding their own slimy doings.
I do not know if he told anyone in the GOPe, but I think it will come to light that SOMEONE in the GOPe was suspicious SOMETHING was going on.
Between Gingrich, Livingstone, Foley, Duke Cunningham, the legal matters of Delay, Perry, and Walker, as well as the Christie investigation, I just don’t see Republicans geting any sort of ethical “advantage” over Hillary.
The American voters, for the longest time, have viewed the Republican party as a bunch of buffoons and hypocrites. The Hastert matter is just going to reinforce this image.
The stink on this one, has been growing for a long time. Somewhere along the line, I feel the Obungler will step in and pardon this scum bag. It just doesn’t make sense that the Obungler would free some dip stick, only to have him shut up in the big house for an extended stay.

If they really think he is a traitor, they should cut him loose and let him feed false info.
Word is, we’re negotiating an extension (really, a ONE year deal???) unless sKerry’s bike fail lets it expire. How much blackmail will this cost the taxpayer?
One could say she owns this too. She knows she’s wrong but seems loath to admit it. Crazy thing is she wasn’t on the inside circle so she was truly repeating what was told her which takes us back to your point i guess.
