Beginning to wonder whether the Supreme Court as an institution is flawed. Justices nominated by one branch of the State, confirmed by another, and thus beholden to both; yet, with life tenure, unaccountable to the citizens, should any justice prove to be a louse. With the State as final arbiter of all constitutional questions regarding Citizen vs State, is it any wonder, the inexorable accretion of State power at the expense of society since 1789?
