Jeb's new campaign manager signals that the last few months haven't gone well
It's not extraordinary in presidential politics when a campaign manager gets replaced; it frequently happens, especially during tough times. But what IS extraordinary is bringing in a new manager before the campaign officially begins. And that's why yesterday's news that Jeb Bush hired GOP communications strategist Danny Diaz to be his new campaign manager -- after previously tapping David Kochel (who was Mitt Romney's chief Iowa strategist in 2012) to fill the position -- is a big deal. It's a tacit acknowledgement that the last few months for Team Jeb haven't gone well.
If the goal of the Jeb pre-campaign was to create enough of a juggernaut to scare off some potential rivals, it didn't work. Only Mitt Romney was forced out. Not Rubio, not Christie, and not Kasich, who remarked last week: "I thought Jeb was just going to suck all the air out of the room, and it just hasn't happened."
The New York Times has some details about the drama in Jeb World: "[B]eneath the surface, there were rumblings that a change was imminent. Incoming staff member[s] traded whispers about whether Scott Jennings, a former George W. Bush White House official who was present for the meetings, was still in line to be the political director, and whether Mr. Kochel would be left in place
Making matters even more complicated for Mr. Bush, his advisers have been geographically separated: [Sally] Bradshaw lives in Tallahassee, [Mike] Murphy is in Los Angeles and Mr. Kochel and the campaign are based in Miami."

I noticed the excerpt didn’t even mention the only two guys running that I will even consider voting for: Cruz and Walker.
The MSM REALLY wants these two to go away.
Team “Jeb” hasn’t done well because he is a Mexican. That’s the problem - not some campaign manager.
I’m not a Bush fan but I wouldn’t trust anything Chuck Todd or NBC ‘reports’.
The meltdown is real. They’re already laying off staff.
Wait until Columba’s ads start running on Mexican TV. Things will really get good.
That's really a step in the right direction.
The Cheap Labor Express has to make sure we cannot elect anyone who would stop the invasion/cheap labor importation/colonization of our country.
Any campaign that includes Mike Murphy is paid for by The Cheap Labor Express.
I see two candidates who are on the side of the citizens and the rule of law. The rest are cheap labor importers to one degree or another.
Jebster is supposed to be this cycle’s designated loser. He’s picking a team that has experience at being gracious losers.
So .. the BIG deal is not so much of a big deal after all.
Geeeeee .. I could have told you that years ago.
This is SO true! And nobody can stop it.
“Team Jeb hasnt done well because he is a Mexican. Thats the problem - not some campaign manager”
Disagree, the feeling here is that the country has had enough of the Bushies. Let’s face it 12 years of them and what is their legacy?
amen
Agreed.
I wish I really, truly believe that there were two candidates who stood up for the AMERICAN, TAX-PAYING AMERICAN CITIZENS.
They are till they get elected.
Remember”Repeal Obamacare”????
don’t blame the manager, blame the candidate
I have never seen a Republican candidate whose positions and statements are so diametrically opposed to my views.
I feel that he is a Republican because his father and brother are Republican. However, in his heart he is a Democrat.
It is good that he was not smart enough to lie about his position on the issues.
I am proud to say that Dave Brat has stuck to his word to his voters. Against tremendous party pressure he has voted the way we sent him there to do.
More districts need to throw their weasels out.
