On June 11 The Washington Post intimated that police in America might not face the tensions they currently face if they shot less and talked more. The Post reached this verdict via a comparison between the tactics of “lightly armed” British police and those of heavily armed Americans.

You can not compare the British Police and the American Police. The laws are not the same. The system is not the same. The conditions and situations are not the same.

I doubt the UK cops are contending with the kind of violent criminals that the US cops are. Most of our violent gangbangers are involved in drug wars or some other illegal activities and would be carrying guns and killing each other even if guns or weapons of any kind were as illegal here as they are in the UK. It seems that libs have a totally closed mind on subjects like this and not even verifiable stats, not to mention common sense, that clearly show they’re wrong don’t penetrate their thick skulls.
