GOP contenders take turns bashing Wall Street

Republican presidential candidates are increasingly adopting anti-Wall Street rhetoric, as they assail Democrats’ tactics to rein in big banks and appeal to voters’ distrust of the financial sector.

In recent weeks, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry declared he is "fed up" with Wall Street's antics, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) slammed Goldman Sachs and Ohio Gov. John Kasich derided the banking industry as rife with greed.

The fiery language comes as the landmark 2010 Dodd-Frank financial reform law nears its fifth anniversary next month. The Democrat-backed statute, Congress’s response to the 2008 economic crisis, put into place hundreds of new regulations, including new designations for “systemically important” financial institutions.

all i know is in the presentations centers of the major investment banks the wages have stayed the same for many years at the good banks. at the really greedy ones the rates have been cut by 30 percent or sent to India (they do terrible terrible work). And they cut out cars home after 9pm and 20 dollar meal allowance if you work 10 hours.
not crying. it is what it is. but their greed is incredible.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) slammed Goldman Sachs
__________________________________________________

Doesn’t Cruz’s wife work for Goldman Sachs????

See, people don’t trust anyone right now....there isn’t ONE candidate that the people can trust....there is something that Obama has done that has damaged the trust of the American people to sit down and study what is happening...

and its not only the GOP with this problem, its the dems also....

and I am no different, I can’t trust anyone on anything anymore and this isn’t a good way to live, the only one thing I know I can trust is me, and my belief in God....

Wall Street should be bashed. Our financial system, with the Federal Reserve at the center, is the foundation of progressive-left government.

You can’t have the social-engineering schemes of the left without unlimited government, funded by printed fiat money, centrally-controlled interest rates, and massive debt.

Fine with me. Wall Street hates that Social Conservatives make up so much of the Republican Party.

Scroo 'em.

What is it about free enterprise that they don't like? Is it rank jealousy . Is it people making money in a country built by people making money? What is their exact specific point based on objective empirical data and not some subjective Leninist clap trap?

Nobody's bashing the Federal Reserve. I'd be very impressed if one of these panderers came out and said "Abolish the Fed and end quantitative easing forever".

Rand Paul should be listening to his dad on this one.

Seems like a systematic attempt to turn gullible conservatives against the most conservative candidate lately.

Unless someone can identify a better conservative running for president, I am supporting Cruz. I’m not buying into all of this negativity lately. Cruz offends all the right people. His voting record and public positions are consistently conservative.

It wasn’t so long ago Conservatives and Republicans embraced what’s good for business is good for the economy and poor people don’t create jobs. Now suddenly it’s chic to be populist. How much of this philosophical shift is real and how much is riding a wave while it lasts?

Blah, blah, blah. I’m still waiting for any of our GOP senators or congressmen to get serious and pass legislation lowering our corporate income tax to the point where billions of dollars of offshore money flows back into the US and creates some jobs.

But no they can only think of passing this monstrous TPP. It will be another disaster for the US workers but good for Banks and transnational corporations. Especially the banks they are loving to trash talk. Its all Kabuki theatre.
